How Ma' Bella Goat Milk Products Began

Ma' Bella Goat Milk Products began when Deana and Shelly each started their own quest to find the most nutritious natural feeds for their goats. During this hunt for healthy food, Deana and Shelly met through the efforts of Bonnie, at Bonnie's Barnyard in Kirkland, Tennessee. Soon a friendship began. Both women wanted to put to use the milk that their goats had so graciously provided. They had been drinking it and making cheese with it, but soon, inspiration struck. After researching the cosmetic and health benefits of goat milk soap, Deana and Shelly began making soap for their families and friends.
When compliments and requests for more soap started pouring in from their friends and families, Deana and Shelly decided to turn their hobby into a business to share their goat milk products with everyone. Through many trials and errors, they came up with soap, lotion, and laundry powder that you will love to use over and over again. The name Ma'Bella came from Deana and Shelly's two oldest goats, Mavis and Isabella (hence the name Ma' Bella, pronounced "May Bella"). Isabella was a rescue goat. Deana and Shelly both spend lots of time taking care of dropped, abandoned or abused animals. Since they are not able to physically house each animal they want to help they donate a portion of their sales to animal rescue each year. So each time you purchase a product from Ma'Bella you are helping an animal that needs love, attention and a home. Shelly regretfully had to leave Ma'Bella at the end of 2016 due to her health. She is now on her farm caring for her goats and other pets.
Deana has continued the business with help from friends and family. If you stop by the shop in Eagleville, you will find Deana busy along with Ms. Linda, Ms. Madison or Deana's mom, Beulah, making, cleaning, and preparing soap to go out to nearby shops or online orders. They will also be pulling our orders and keeping local shops and stores, such The Amish Mill and Whole Foods, stocked. These ladies work steadily creating handmade soap, lotion, bath teas, and laundry powder! Mrs. Dweana, with Home Town Girl, is in charge of making bath bombs, sugar scrubs, and bath fizzes. All of these products are locally made in Tennessee at the little soap shop in Eagleville. Mrs.Beulah has made all the products under "Grandmas Goodies" and ensures each item was made with love! Ma'Bella soaps are available in multiple stores across the state and, of course, easily ordered online through this website!
It is not surprising to stop in and see a local or customer sitting in the back of the little Soap Shop helping out or learning how to make soap. Eagleville is a great little town, a little like Mayberry. The post office is right across the street from us so if you get your order in early we try to ship it out the same day.
Ma'Bella goats have very discriminating palates, and expect only quality natural grain and hay. The goats are extremely happy and well fed. They have wonderful pastures on which to graze and receive lots of love from their human families. We do not add chemicals to our pastures. The goats drink fresh water from the stream and pond. Deana's friend Linda and her father, Thomas Maupin help her with caring for and milking the goats. We provide the best for the goats and they give us back their best. Do not worry....the babies are getting all the milk they need from their mom's before they share it with us.
Ma'Bella welcomes small groups to come by for soap making demonstrations. Eagleville is a lovely, historical little town on the Jack Trail. We have many small shops and great eateries nearby. Come out and make a day of it.
